night manager

We are looking for a Night Manager to join our team, to work 40 hours per week. As Night Manager you will support and supervise the departmental team, to nurture and develop a culture that delivers caring and professional service with a style and approach unique to Hope Street Hotel. The role involves taking full responsibility for the hotel, guests and staff during the night shift. You will be responsible for checking guests in and out of the hotel, dealing with guest enquiries, using Opera PMS, supervising the set up and break down of conference rooms, staff supervision and training, banking procedures, overseeing the night time food and beverage operation, and also have security responsibilities.

The position requires the holder to work consistently with team members to raise standards and maintain customer satisfaction. The Night Manager must be punctual, methodical and organised, and smartly turned out. Attention to detail, communication style and people skills will all be factors influencing success.

Previous experience as night manager is preferred, but at least 2 years previous experience in a hotel reception role at supervisory level is required, and a good working knowledge of Opera PMS is desirable but not essential as training can be provided. Experience in a similar style of hotel is also desirable. A passion for customer service is essential to ensure that every guest and visitor receives a personal service that is consistent and in line with Hope Street Hotel’s standards.
