Friday 29th April – Sunday 8th May 2011
This will be Liverpool’s first Boat Show and promises to be a show like no other! It will take place in the historic surroundings of the Grade 1 listed Albert Dock, amidst Liverpool’s spectacular waterfront and World Heritage Site.
The nine-day event is expected to attract 400,000 visitors who will enjoy exhibits from around the world including multi-million pound yachts, motorboats, dinghies, waterskis and nautical equipment. There will be a programme of water-based entertainment and demonstrations including wake-boarding, power boat racing, water-skiing, championship sailing along with cultural and family events. One of the show's highlights will be a series of VIP floating islands where exhibitors' guests will be ferried to and fro via water taxi.
“The Liverpool Boat Show 2011 will be the first of what promises to be one of the most spectacular events of its kind – not just in the UK but in the whole of Europe. Join me in one of the world’s great maritime cities for an unforgettable experience.” Sir Robin Knox-Johnston – Chairman and former patron of the city of Liverpool’s year of the Sea
