Part language lesson, part Hollywood musical, led by classically trained pianist Thomas M. Lauderdale, Pink Martini are somewhere between a 1930s Cuban dance orchestra, a classical chamber music ensemble, a Brazilian marching street band and Japanese film noir. The band’s 2011 show sold-out and with a new album due in spring 2013 they collaborate with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for this very special concert which also sees the return of front-woman China Forbes.
